Yes Rob exactly, in 2016 and 2017 4 LHF 20/12 models were tested with full rear doors and basic steps, these were changed for the order of 71 units as of 2019

The new order seems to have been enough units to replace all of the older full time stations’ LHFs, plus a number of reserve trucks. This means that pretty much every volunteer station now has one of the previous generation rescue pumpers. Among major German cities, I think perhaps only Berlin and Munich have issued rescue pumpers to their volunteers on this scale.
Some FS operate 2 LHF in Berlin. Other particularities Berlin such as Paris like to change their engines names, i.e. LHF is HLF in the rest of Germany. And many other different appellations.

Yes the thirty five full time stations each have either one or two LHF pumpers. Now that the previous generation units have been “handed down” to the volunteers most of the eighty four volunteer stations will now have at least one, and the older LF specification pumpers will be progressively phased out. Munich is doing the same, but is actually acquiring a lot of brand new rescue pumpers for their volunteers too.
