I am struggling to find much information on this one. It appeared on the cover of Fire Cover no. 41 many years ago. Served Amesbury too till 1966.

The sliding rear door is certainly an unusual feature. Many of these were built without doors, like the three for Newcastle, while others came with either half doors or full height glazed doors.

The Leyland Society's chassis list shows this as an FKT2 for Swindon M.B. dating from 11/39. As far as I can see, they only record 6 other appliances with this exact designation.
