A rare Econic rescue pump, featuring four wheel steering for increased maneuverability. This option is not available on other chassis, but the Econic two axle rear steer chassis was originally developed for aerials, so it can equally well be adapted for a pumper if necessary.

The rear axle steering setup permits three different arrangements:

1- The wheels do not turn at all, which is ideal for most normal driving conditions.
2- They turn in the opposite direction from the front wheels - like a 6X2 rear steerer - which is great for reducing the turning circle in tight conditions.
3- The can also turn in parallel with the front wheels, allowing the truck to move diagonally. Although this option is intended mainly for aerials (and cranes like the Grove, Liebherr and Krupp) it might perhaps occasionally be a useful feature for a pumper.
