Fire Engines Photos

First time I have seen picture of this appliance in a good condition. When I first moved to Yatton in 1998 I spotted it hidden away down a track amongst some large fir trees between Cadbury Hill and the Cadbury Garden Centre, I cycled down the track one day to take a closer look, and got shouted at for trespassing and told to clear off..which rather put me off investigating it further...it was in reasonable condition considering it was dumped in a field, with numberplate attached although I recall the crew doors didn't shut. It must have remained there about 10 years or more becoming more and more difficult to see as the vegetation grew round it - it disappeared a few years ago..I'd be interested in more of it's history..and exactly when it was allocated to Yatton and where else it served - I'm assuming it wasn't new to Yatton in 1976/77.

This was first allocated to Weston Super Mare, then to Yatton and finished up with the Training School. Was one of four P reg Dodge appliances with alloy bodywork, and the last ones to have a bell I believe.
