Not so often we see a “999” number plate on a French fire truck! In the 1950sand 60s it was quite a popular idea in some towns in the UK to have fire trucks bear a 999 number, as this was the British emergency number before 112 came into use. My local station for example had NHN 999, PHN 999, RHN 999 and 999 MHN. But I have no idea why Colmar chose it for their “new” TL in 1961?
