Curiously enough my home town Darlington also had a 28 meter Magirus ladder. Built in 1938, EHN 118 was on a Dennis chassis but badged “Morris Magirus” after the eponymous UK Magirus importer John Morris. It was in service until 1960, when it was replaced by the unique Leyland Firemaster Magirus MHN 999, still around thanks to Dr. Barry Hutchinson.
