Volkswagen T4 Light Rescue Unit.Carries small generator,rescue tools,spreaders and cutting equipment and is used for quick response to smal type jobs.A quick response vehicle based at Stn 7 in Prague.

Prague has 12 fire stations - all full-time - and seems to follow the German model of having a relatively small number of stations with a large compliment of appliances and personnel at each one.

No 7 is near the city center and last time I visited it there were seven appliances and around thirty firefighters on the watch there.

But unlike Germany, the city does not have dozens of volunteer fire companies and relies on mutual aid when things get really busy....
