Apart from airfield and industrial fire brigades, the dedicated single purpose foam tender has largely disappeared from city and county brigades in most places. A minor exception is the BSPP's fleet of a dozen FA tenders. These have two 1000 litre class B foam tanks, foam branches and monitors but also carry 2 X 1000 metres of pre-connected flaked 110 mm LDH, so they can serve as either foam tenders or hose layers.
They are dispatched to commercial and industrial fires, as well as other incidents in areas of Paris which are not well served by high capacity hydrants - where long supply lines may be needed.
