These heavy pumpers were usually to be found in city and large town fire stations. They mostly shared quarters with either a light first aid pump or a pump water tender as well as either an 18 meter wheeled ladder carrier and/or a 22 to 30 metre TTL.
The large cab accommodated up to eleven crew, and the equipment included two one man hose carts and usually both extension and hook ladders. There was no water tank or first aid hose reel.
