Lancashire had many of this type before they switched to local Leyland/DAFs. This one was at Morecombe.

I have to wonder if this extensive coachbuilt design had any advantages over alternatives like the HCB Angus using the standard TK cowl, or some others who built around the entire factory front cab, using all its standard components?

This was as a result of a change to steel framed cabs. One of these left its rear wheels behind on a shout.
