Towing a trailer pump is a very frequent tactic when hose layers are deployed in France. This way pressure in the line can be boosted very easily -without relying on getting another pump appliance to the right place in the relay in a timely fashion.

This trailer has a capacity to pump 2000 LPM @ 15 AT, and has dual 110 mm hose inlets and deliveries for use with LDH.

More compact 4x4 off road hose layers with 1000 LPM rated trailer pumps are also quite common in rural areas of France to provide water supplies to brush trucks handling forest, brush and crop fires.
