This Mog is towing a trailer with a foam monitor, foam compound containers and probably foam extinguishers too. German fire services still operate numerous special purpose trailers, even after decades of developing many kinds of pods for a wide variety of applications. Single or two axle trailers are inexpensive, and can be put to good use where the type or amount of equipment needed does not call for anything the size of a pod. In addition to foam and/or monitor trailers examples carry fixed, portable or floating pumps, extra hose, lighting equipment, hazmat gear, dry powder, generators, compressors and often boats -and fill even such roles as field kitchens to feed personnel at major incidents.
