This volunteer fire company’s rather elderly LFTS pump has a portable pump in the rear compartment where the main PTO driven pump would normally be located. Hence the front mounted main pump.

This helps with access to open water sources and is useful if water relays are needed. Right now it responds most of the time as the third due pump.
