This GAZ pump is bodied by local specialist Tital. With a six seat crew cab, it has a Ruberg 2400 LPM pump, 2000 litre tank and 120 litre foam tank. This example looks like it has an 8 meter ladder, but some carry three section 12 meter ladders. instead.
Rob Johnson, almost. It was made not by Tital. You maybe mixing it with the "Kasatka" ('orca') of Tital. It's the produkt of Pozhmashyna Ukraine. According to the details from the manufacturer's website it has a МНВП-90/300 (MNVP) pump, a 1000 litre water tank and minimum 50 litre foam tank.
Nice catch! My mistake. It does look almost identical to the Tital Orca water tender illustrated in their international product brochure; I guess if you build a box body on a GAZ crew cab chassis you end up with a very similar looking vehicle.
With its smaller water tank, does this carry more equipment than the 2, 000 liter tank alternative?
Thank you! They are basicaly in the same category, APD/APPD-2, which covers First Aid Fire Vehicle. According to what I heard from local firefighters, they are mostly used for vehicle fires, smaller fires, like trashcan fires, for emergency-rescue works at traffic accidents.
