Trittau is a small town of 8,000 twenty miles east of Hamburg, and operated this 4X4 Magirus 125HP V6 diesel water tender with 1600 LPM pump and 2400 litre tank. In its day it was a standard DIN specification unit, and built as complete custom unit by Magirus - who built the chassis, engine, cab, body and pump of their own design and construction.

These days, 93 volunteers respond to incidents with up to seven appliances, including Mercedes, Iveco and MAN pumps, water tenders and rescue units. In recent years, they have turned out once or twice a week...
