Hamburg is a major deep water port with numerous water rescue incidents every year. Not only does the fire service operate the two dedicated water rescue trucks depicted on this site, but it also has a small inflatable boat on each of its 69 rescue pumps, 49 trailer mounted rescue boats and three fireboats equipped for water rescue incidents.
