Standard 4X4 water tender for urban and suburban structure firefighting by Magirus, on an Iveco factory chassis crew cab. German fire services often prefer 4X4, even for exclusively city use. Magirus understandably encouraged buyers to specify Iveco chassis after the firm became part of Iveco, but backed off rather quickly when fire brigades made it clear the wanted MAN, Mercedes and other makes with Magirus bodywork, ladders, pumps and equipment.
Even in Italy, many fire services have steered away from Iveco chassis because of reliability issues.
IVECO I Vibrate Everything Comes Off.... Never understood why anyone would buy one as a truck but as an emergency service vehicle has to be the most stupid idea ever!

John: The sad part of this Magirus story is that before merging into Iveco Magirus built their own engines, chassis and cabs. In fact for many years they were the ONLY European firm which built pumps, ladders and specials which used their own engines, chassis, cabs, bodies, pumps and ladders. These were among the most rugged and reliable fire trucks you could buy, and many had a thirty year service life in Germany followed by anything up to another twenty years in a South American fire department, where they were also much loved!
