This a one of four level 2 rescue equipment trucks in the Hamburg fleet. There are also twenty smaller level 1 and two larger level 3 units, as well as five rescue squad trucks and over 70 rescue pumpers. In addition, this large port city operates two dive team water rescue units, more than 40 trailer-borne light watercraft and a high angle rope rescue unit along with a 40 ton crane. Around half of the rescue pumps and almost all of the boat trailers are operated by selected volunteer fire companies.
