Difficult to know how old this one is, as this design was introduced in the 1960s and continued in production for close to a half century! The original specification called for a 1600 LPM rear mounted PTO-driven pump, an 800 liter water tank, a nine seat cab and a suite of ladders up to and including a 12 meter extension.
It did not have a first aid hose reel:- the tank was intended to feed a 52mm attack line with 400 LPM output for long enough for crew members to set in to a hydrant. These did not usually respond alone, but as the fourth element in a platoon. First, the command van with platoon leader and his driver, next a pump water tender with 160 LPM pump and 2400 liter tank crewed by six riders, then the 25 or 30 meter turntable ladder with two crew - and finally the pump.
