These MAN 4X4 brush trucks with 4, 000 liter water tanks are quite popular in France, along with Unimogs with similar specifications and - of course - Renault 14 ton 4X4 units too. A larger version with a 6, 000 liter tank is also quite common, as are smaller and more maneuverable versions.
A common SOP is to operate these in teams of three, supported by a 6X6 or 8X4 tanker with a backup tank supply of between 10, 000 and 13, 000 liters.
These CCF 4000 trucks have "pump and go" capability, and the newer ones also have a water delivery system built into the roll cage so they can survive being in very close proximity to burning materials.
