The comment does not rally warrant a response, but I will reply anyway. The roof fire was round the corner, out of sight in the photo, and the TL was positioned perfectly and was put to good use.

Perhaps this very narrow street was one way, giving the aerial driver Hobson's choice when it came to stopping on the uphill slope?
