Built in Hampshire Fire Service workshops at Winchester and allocated to Alresford on November 23rd 1961. According to Alan House's book, it was used as a 'C' Division spare appliance and then for 'D' Division driver training until disposal in June 1978. Great shame that none of these beautiful appliances were preserved. It was the penultimate S-type before Hampshire started building on TKEL chassis the following year.
