Thornycroft Nubian Major Farnborough MoD

1969 Thornycroft Nubian Major aircraft crash tender YMY 432H normally based at the Ministry of Defence Royal Aerospace Establishment, possibly either Llanbedr or Aberporth. It was seconded to the Royal Aerospace Establishment site at Farnborough during the 1992 Farnborough Airshow. Photo taken 12/09/1992 outside the fire station. Vehicle possibly manufactured by Scammell Lorries at Watford to a Thornycroft design and carrying Thornycroft badge. Now preserved in the Milestones Museum, Basingstoke.

my dad was leading fire man on this crash tender at bedford we have photos of him on it showing reg number
