old ladder set re-chassis by G&T of Gravesend hence srew jacks. Photo taken at Duxford I think but based at Harlow. Later became a beaver tail. On flickr.

The 17 ton long wheelbase Shelvoke chassis was specifically designed for aerial applications, and was apparently quite frequently used to re-mount older ladders whose original chassis were on their last legs.
