Many of these ended up overloaded, as the added trailing axle was a standard item with standard suspension, wheel, tyre and brake equipment.

As such, they did not add sufficient payload capacity for the kinds of additional weight fire services wanted to include, and the results were often quite unsatisfactory handling and braking performance....

This looks to me like KBP 550P which was in service with West Sussex Fire Brigade.

Certainly looks like KBP 550P, but the 1980 date must be wrong as it was on the run at Worthing in 1976.

Ed: 1980 is my date and a guess!!
