Petros are you confusing Avon with Devon? I have seen no photos of an Avon Iveco TL. Devon had B318VFJ and L626DOD Iveco-Magirus TLs.

Painting the wheels like this was I believe something which began in Finland, where fire trucks all had quartered black and white wheels for many years. Several examples are on this site.

Avon had 2 Magirus chassied turntable ladders. Magirus were taken over by Iveco. I guess you were thinking of these vehicles

Very long lived ladder! Unusual in thar it had the factory nine seat crew cab, while almost all turntable ladders had either the much shorter six seat cab or quite often only seating for two or three in the two door standard cab.
