FRJ928 Salford ET Dennis/Carmichael F12

1970s Notice fire department not fire brigade. ETs based on F12 extremely rare. The Coventry one is with Dr Barry Hutchinson collection.

Late Alastair Collins collection - used with permission.

The firms which built these old ETs with their crew accommodations and "walk-in" center aisle configuration did produce a rather wide-ranging variety of layouts. I remember Cambridge ran their unique Bedford RL 4X4 with a lonely driver, Sunderland had a Bedford Miles which usually had three riders, and in the (very) good old days London's famous Maudslay Merryweather ET turned out to the Worsley Hotel fire with no less than seven members on board!

I do wonder how many seats this weird looking F12 had, and how Salford actually manned it?

It looks a bit short for a F12
