The F7 preceded the enormously popular Dennis F12, which was very similar except for having a shorter wheelbase.

EVH 680 came out of service in 1970 and was bought by a Mr Keech who had the Universal Printing Ink Company Limited in Morley. He had this name added to the appliance and others in his private collection.
The F7 is pictured on display at The Yorkshire Fire Museum, Batley which opened to the public on the 31st May, 1976.
After a couple of seasons, EVH 680 found herself in a scrapyard having been deemed uneconomical to restore.
Kirklees Civil Aid came to the rescue in 1979 and she was recommissioned, providing fire cover at various events.
The late Ricky Senior acquired EVH 680 in 1981 and she was rallied but after developing engine problems, a new home in Mansfield came in 1989 followed by a further change of ownership and a move to Norfolk in 1992.
Next year, EVH 680 will be 70 having been in the same family ownership for 27 years. Restoration is still on the agenda along with a return to public appearances for this rare survivor of the post war pioneers.

Dennis
There is something against the wall behind the appliance but it is not attached to it.
More information to follow.
