Picture with a difference - Findon West Sussex
As part of the "windows on the pier" project to install glass art work on Worthing pier in place of plain glass panels this design was commissioned by myself to remember Findon Fire Station in West Sussex which closed at midnight on March 31st 2011. It features Dennis R133 TCR 349T which after serving at Bognor, Worthing & Shoreham spent 1987 - 1994 at Findon. This picture was taken by the artist Siobhan Jones prior to being installed on the pier on Feb 13th ...go and see it and the many other windows now stating to appear on the pier...(the plague explaining the design unfortunately went missing & is not yet in place, but will be later in the year.
