In addition to their vast range of custom fire trucks, based on a family of seven separate series, Pierce also build all types of firefighting and rescue equipment and bodywork on standard or modified US commercial truck chassis of any make. Although in service as a hazmat responder, this example obviously started life as a pumper, possibly for a US fire department prior to being exported as a second hand unit. Venezuela has the distinction of having what must be the World’s most varied fleet of fire trucks, in terms of national origin, specification types, chassis and equipment/body suppliers and vintages, as it includes both brand new units and vintage trucks with a half century of service behind them!
