Dennis Fire Engine build shop - 1920Many years ago the first Dennis Motor Turbine Fire Engine - a 45HP with a single stage pump capable of delivering up to 350 gallons per minute - was manufactured and supplied to Bradford City, since when hundreds of these famous machines have been built and are now in use throughout the world efficiently performing their duty as protectors of life and property.
At the present time there seems to be a tendency amongst those Brigades who still use horses and steamers to discard these in favour of the more modern turbine motors. The Dennis Motor Turbine Fire Engine is generally accepted - for it is beyond doubt that in claiming the Dennis to be the most efficient Fire Engine in the world, we use no figure of speech, but simply the opinion of hundreds of Brigades all over the world whose confidence we have gained.
Dennis Brothers, Guildford, 1920.
