The Econic is very popular as an aerial chassis, and quite often turns up as a rescue truck, but appears with pumper bodywork and a crew cab relatively rarely.
In this configuration, there is a lot of wasted space between the front and rear doors, due to the set back engine, which sits behind the front seats instead of between them - in the interest of achieving a low cab height.
So the buyer ends up with a longer wheelbase and less maneuverable truck, although it may be a bit lower than others.
To update this comment, I should mention that the reason Hannover bought these unusual Econic rescue pumpers was that they could be supplied with rear wheel steering. This option was originally offered only on Econic chassis for two axle turntable ladders, to add an exceptional level of maneuverability. With the same rear steering option, Hannover created a much more maneuverable fleet of rescue pumpers - despite the longer wheelbase - compared to similar Ategos.
