Hi, the location of this picture is outside Dudley College on 'The Broadway' The appliance is just parked inside Paganel Drive.

David. Thanks for identifying the location. You've obviously got the local knowledge there. I've checked on Google maps streetview and apart from the trees being a bit thicker, the location appears the same 67 years after the photo was taken.

Going by the bowfront cab, this is a TSC 18 Beaver, probably from wartime, not an early post-war Interim Beaver

I believe Scarborough had one of these in or around 1960. It shared quarters as I remember with a Dennis F12 PE and an F8 pump appliance. I seem to remember that the number of Leyland Beaver Merryweather TTLs issued to the NFS in WWII was quite limited, so this photo could be quite rare.

Its a WWII Leyland Beaver TSC18 not an Interim Beaver
