It's only when you see a Scania like this on an 'R' plate that you realise just how old this cab design is. I know Scania have tweaked it a few times, but essentially it's almost twenty years old. No wonder Scannies are looking a touch outdated. Time for a modern replacement methinks.

1998 so now in its late teens I suppose CFB have had good service out of this Scania .

Saw this the other day, it appears to be a HGV Trainer!

My understanding is that it was on reserve duties when photographed and is awaiting disposal , it has very low miles and thats the reason it has been on extended duties , the cab is in fact older than the r reg shown , they came out with the p prefix , it does look old in fact I would suggest the dennis looks more youthfull , cleaner lines and more puposefull to my eyes at least , I understand scania which is now MAN/VAG owned has a new front in the pipeline for the cab but the rest is pretty much unaltered , they probably feel that the cost exceeds any benefits , does look dated though.
