hi she looks good for her age, I worked and drove on this fire tender in 1977 in the raf at honnington, and have to say the MK9 was by far the best of the day, and it is nice to see a great truck in such great condition.

Does anyone know what her RAF registration number was please? Trying to trace photos of the three Mk9s that served at RAF Luqa in the 70s. Thanks for your help!

Mario are you sure about 27AG04 was at Luqa as I know it was at CTE Manston, if you look at Roger Mardon's web site there is a photo of it there.
This Truck is now at the Museum of RAF Firefighting at RAF Scampton

It was here for a few years in the seventies and was returned to the UK shortly before the closure of RAF Luqa. There were three Mk.9s at RAF Luqa, all three were returned to the UK.

Hi Wayne, sorry about the cock up! The truck at RAF Luqa was 27 AJ 04, not AG. My mistake!
