A side view of Kent Fire & Rescue Service Dennis Sabre XL343C532GS6/JDC Pump GKO3OWW,(203), which is the retained Pump at Faversham Fire Station and is seen on 28/06/14
Got it, Chris. So I am guessing that it carries a total of around fourteen 23 meter lengths, plus presumably some 45MM attack hose?
If so, this is still quite a lot less than would be found on the majority of pumpers in North America and most of Continental Europe.
Generally, US pumpers carry around 2500 feet (765 meters) of different sized attack and supply line, although there are of course some differences between fire departments, while full-sized French and German units usually carry around 500 to 600 meters.
