seen this rare commer for sale on line at a garage in kirriemuir in angus, it looks like an ex perth and kinross or angus fire brigade going by the number but am open to ideas , it is all complete and has been running till recently and they are asking £1000 which seems reasonable ,anyone with any history out there?

Hi Alan, I've looked at Graeme Kirkwood's History of Scottish Fire Brigades website under 1975 Tayside and can't find it? So hopefully someone else might help?

Hi , I had a look there also , it must be perth and kinross as they had several whilst angus were buying albions at this time, thanks though

I've had a look at my collection of Tayside from the 50's until the present day and still couldn't find it?

Would it have belonged to a private Brigade such as Glaxo?

Cheers Pete it was the only ex perth and kinross station I didnt look at ! , solves the problem , I found out it was stationed at Perth first as I have conformation from a retired firefighter , he reckoned it went to Creiff after that so I assume Aberfoyle then , these had a very roomy cab and were a bit slow he said , petrol I assume , anyway thanks all

it was new to perth , then blairgowrie followed by aberfoyle , its ownership was assumed by central fire brigade following regionalisation in around 1973 , my dad worked at the old p and k fb workshops overlooking the south inch in perth or underneath ethe arches as it was known!!

The Graemekirkwood records show the vehicle was operated in Aberfoyle in the Central Scottish Fire Brigade. The entry also say it’s a Carmichael bodied Commer. I am not sure of that. It was registered in March 1967.

Ed: that looks like HCB body to me. Facebook image has it as HCB, now possibly at Findhorn?
