Is that a MARS light on the front bumper?

Jeff..
I Think if you look Carefully you might find it's a Francis Siren as Fitted to Many Uk Fire Appliance's in the Uk over many years

Added by Dave Todd on 29 December 2013.
is an old siren, kind like a Q2B but really old

Added by Aram Cea on 30 December 2013.
Dave, the siren was fitted right here in Chile.
We took it from an old engine that we had. I don't remember perfectly but I believe it was a Mercedes Benz from the 60's.

Aram, do you have the chassis number, on plate under steering wheel, begining with SS, with this will be able to confirm its origin.

Added by M.west on 31 December 2013.
The steering wheel is now on the left hand side of the appliance ..its possible the chassis plate is where the steering wheel used to be !

Added by Rick Loudon on 01 January 2014.
Rick - is that why the only windscreen wiper is on the left side, or is this unit in an area of Chile which does not get much rain?

Old Dennis appliances are a rarity in Chile, so good luck to the Quillota fire service finding spares!

The "coffins" to increase storage capacity look as if they have been added-on. Hopefully nothing too heavy up there.

It'll be ex Cheshire - several of the D and E reg appliances went over there

Great photo. Im always interested to see how these donated appliances get re-liveried by their new owners. I think this looks particularly unusual in white and blue, but I think it looks pretty smart too. And she also appears in good nick for her age. Great machines.

Fort Worth Texas uses the same white bodywork with bright blue stripes.

From the 90's to 2004 we sent about eleven RS pumps from Cheshire and one from N Wales as well as a turntable ladder. Most of them are still in service but getting really tired. In their second life a number became rescue tenders and sported lime green paint jobs I wonder what happened to the 400+ BA sets we sent?

Added by Keith Davies on 10 March 2014.
Keith Davies is right, he help to get this fire engines to Chile. Who have the 400+ BA that you are talking, I can ask if you want.
