This 1995 Mills Tui built FK160F light pump was on my wanted to photograph list for many years. In immaculate original condition with only 15,000kms it remains with its first brigade at Waitahuna and was photographed in October 2013.

Call me old-fashioned (or worse!, but I much prefer this livery to the multi-colored and multi-striped appearance of current NZ fire appliances.

It is simple, elegant and distinctive, and still says "fire engine" very clearly.
