In September 2013 a major storm struck the Canterbury region. The Dunsandel volunteer brigade light pump see above (seen new in picture 33063) was responding to an incident when a tree fell into its path. Thankfully the crew were not injured. The appliance has since been repaired and returned to service. A number of appliances suffered damage during this storm.
