Unit 65 in Port Moody B.C. was this 1987 Anderson Engineering Mack MC pumper with a 1250 IGPM pump and 250 IG water tank.

The MB and MC chassis were used extensively for fire apparatus applications, and had a tilt cab like the Ford C series. The chassis was - like quite a few others around the World - originally conceived for garbage truck applications, but rapidly adopted by numerous fire engine builders.

It was much favored by fire departments who had already experienced the B series an/or custom CF Macks, which deservedly earned a stellar reputation.

The only drawbacks were that the cab was a bit tight and the rear bench too narrow for more than three, but of course this generation had a rear step too, so a larger crew could ride if more members were available. The overhead ladder is a comparative rarity. It made re-stowing the hose bed a bit more difficult, but it did add locker space on the right side...
