Photo taken on October 26th, 2013.
Captain Gustavo Velasco Sarmiento station in Cali, Colombia. This all original and fully operational 1953 Ford F800 was sitting second line begging to have some pictures taken. I have some other views and angles to also post of it.

Special thanks to Bomberos Jorge Ortiz for his time and telling me this history about the truck. (which had already been in service for 20 years when Jorge began his career as a fireman on the same department)

From the pump panel, I would say American LaFrance...

I'd say there's no doubt it's an ALF, amazing how well central an south American countries can maintain the classics.

the pump panel gauges were all marked American LaFrance and the bell had the classic eagle. and since the guys said it was all original I would agree, its an ALF.

Another example of just how long these trucks can remain in service and continue to be fully operational, if they are maintained very carefully.

Sixty years may not be a record, but if it is not, it must be very close!
