1966 AEC Mercury Turntable Ladder

Seen at the half way point of the HCVS Trans Pennine run on its way from Manchester to Harrogate, England in June 2001.
I did not record the history of this well restored appliance.

This looks to me as it is Chester Le Street, the half way point for the HCVS Tyne Tees run between Stockton and South Shields. A well known appliance in the North East. New to Tynemouth Fire Brigade later passing to Tyne & Wear Metropolitan Fire Brigade.

Paul,
Many thanks for your accurate location of this image.
At the time I posted the photograph I was uploading a number of images and got confused about the run details which I note on the back of the many photographs I have from both the Trans-Pennine and Tyne-Tees road runs.
Regards,
Steve
