Horrible to drive. It was slow it didn't handle and it didn't like to stop. The cab was so small and with four in the Back you was squashed up against the door I've driven this pump a few times and don't miss it.

I have driven the slightly earlier supercharger version and it went like a rocket and handled ok , you are right about the cab with the coach built part feeling a bit home-made and rattly , narrow as well but better than the dodge commandos we had prior to getting volvos but not a patch on the sabre , best pump ever , by far!!

Yes the sabre is great appliance we have one on station now and it's a cracking machine. The rapier was a good one to.

Adam, do you run a Volvo alongside the Sabre or is it a one pump station? My advice is never complain about your Sabre even if it's getting long in the tooth!, Just try and keep hold of it for as long as possible. They are a fantastic machine, that good in fact, I went out and purchased my own as seen in photo 37477 on this site!

All kent sabres will be with drawn next year and placed with a man. Be a shame to see the sabre go. We are only a one pump station and the other station I was at had the Volvo above. I think some volvos are being replace as well as there are a lot as reserve appliances.
