Pictured at Odiham fireshow on the 3rd and 4th August are two 'old friends' now with new owners - OXT 779 AEC Regent/Merryweather ET ex London Fire Brigade formerly owned for many years by Eric Billingham and AEC Regent/Merryweather Pump Escape ex Merthyr Tydfil formerly owned by Pat Langley.

Anyone who has read Gordon Honeycombes 'RED WATCH' may be surprised to know that whilst OXT 779 was not Paddingtons ET it was actually running as a reserve ET from Paddington on the night of that fateful fire in December 1974
