New Zealand Hino PH8561
The last of 19 appliances built by Austral in 1989 for the New Zealand Fire Service on the Hino FH222 chassis, this particular appliance was new to Ranfurly where it served until 2012 when replaced by a newer Iveco appliance. It is now part of the regional relief fleet and was photographed in Cromwell in March 2013. It is remarkable in that it has not yet been retrofitted with endless reflective striping and visibly appears as it was when it first entered service.
