Pretty quick for a 97 year old The engine is a 9.2 litre ( 4 cyl. ) White & Poppe petrol engine which produces 70 hp @ 1160 rpm & gives 7 miles per gallon ( 2.5 km per litre ).
When new in 1915 it could reach a top speed of 55 mph , but now only reaches 45 mph .
The gearbox has 4 forward + 1 reverse gears .
The fire pump can deliver 500 gallons of water per minute at 150psi ( 10 bar ) .
These are just some of the facts kindly provided by the owners .

I recently bought a copy of the LCC 1913 "Notebook on the Fire Brigade". This stipulated that the motor fire engine had "now passed beyond the experimental stage", but emphasized that "no decision has been made to convert all appliances to motor traction". At the time, one pumper was still steam-driven, and many of the escape carriers were battery electric - like milk floats. I don't imagine any of these units hitting 55 mph - 30 would probably have been more than exciting enough!
