I've never been a Bedford lover but this is another great picture showing the British fire service at it's best!

With those reg numbers, yes it's certainly Worcestershire, fairly certain it's the old station at Malvern. 800 FFK was a Bedford R WrT with 4 wheel drive supplied specifically for fire fighting on the Malvern hills. In later years several specialised vehicles were used for this purpose including Land Rover pumps (one of which was a 6 wheeler), a Pinzgauer and Argocat.

I have a few more details: 800FFK was a Bedford RL HCB/A WrT with a 300 gall tank - a 4x4. Worcs City and County Brigade.

Yes I can confirm Malvern as 2nd WrT. I remember seeing this appliance in action at a trees on fire job near Evesham in the hot summer of '76.

This interesting photo very nicely illustrates just how much higher the 4X4 RL was than its RWD stable mates.
