The 24 meter TL is still quite popular in many French towns because it is on a small enough chassis so it can fit into narrow streets - and it offers enough height to be useful in most situations.

Five of the 63 aerials in service in Paris are 24 meter ladders, with the rest all being 30 meter ladders or 32 meter platforms. They are also quite common in the Netherlands and Germany for the same reason, and two found their way to the UK several years ago.
