I Think it is meant to be read as Bachert, who are one of Germany's main Fire Engine Bodybuilders who have produced fire vehicles for not only Germany, but Austria, Switzerland, France?, and also Belgium and Holland of anything ranging from small Volkswagen Transporter Minibus personnel carriers through to Turntable Ladders in Mercedes heavy duty chassis with small Volkswagen LT/Ford Transit (including some A Series) based compact pumpers and Unimog Forest Fire vehicles at least within the 1980s decade.
These Mercedes Bachert pumps were used almost everywhere in Belgium including the cities: Antwerp, Brussels, Brugge, Liege and other Belgian towns.
